Welcome to the home of Union High School!

Picture a group pulling together to create an everlasting bond. This group comes from all directions in the academic, athletic, extracurricular activity, and scholastic disciplines.

Philosophy of Education

We believe that Union High School has the responsibility to assist each student to develop his/her intellectual, physical, and moral potential as fully as possible so that he may be a productive member of society and lead a personally satisfying life. We believe that education is a continuing lifelong process, encouraging curiosity and creativity, and that the results of the learning process may not be immediate or measurable but of enduring value.

Our Mission

It is our mission to provide our community of learners with educational opportunities to acquire and develop the best possible academic, vocational, recreational, social, and participatory skills, enabling them to become valued, contributing members of a changing global society.

The Place For Music & Art

Union Public Schools has one of the truly outstanding fine arts programs in the nation. A talented and dedicated staff, strong parental and community support, as well as the support of the administration and school board, have provided our students with a wide variety of opportunities to explore and develop their talents.

Redhawks Sports

Union boasts one of the best athletics departments in the nation. Union athletes excel on all levels, locally, statewide and nationally. In addition to competitive sports, Union also offers intramural games. The spirit department - which includes cheerleaders, pom squads and Highstepper teams - is also under the auspices of the athletics department.

Student Life

Offices for Student Life are housed in the High School, commonly called the Activities Office. Student Life oversees all activities at the High School, including assemblies, Leadership activities, student organizations and events at the High School. Visit the Student Life page.

Redhawks Spirit

Life at Union Public Schools is more than just homework. Union believes a successful student is an engaged student and the district provides a wide variety of activities. More than 14,000 Union students are involved in some form of the arts and more than 1,600 students are involved in Union’s athletics and spirit programs. Advanced Placement Classes

Union High School offers 24 Advanced Placement courses. Each AP course is modeled on a comparable introductory college course in the subject. Learn more about Union's AP program.

Oklahoma's Promise

For the 13th year in a row, Union Public Schools has been recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as the Oklahoma’s Promise 2025 State 6A Champion for having 175 seniors from the class of 2023 qualify for the Oklahoma’s Promise Scholarship.

Together, We Make A Difference

Academics are a priority. Union offers programs for students as young as 3 to adults. Union wants everyone to succeed.

Construction

Union’s construction program is all about giving students hands-on learning opportunities that help them make informed decisions about their future. The program is a great way for students to safely explore careers in construction, HVAC and electrical and earn industry certifications along the way.

Aerospace

Recognizing the need for a skilled workforce in the aerospace and aviation industry, Union is among a growing number of Oklahoma high schools offering aviation curriculum developed by the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA).

Early Childhood

Union provides a full-day, year-round program for eligible 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and kindergarteners. Students learn language, fine arts, problem-solving and more.

EDGE

Union's EDGE program (Earn a Degree, Graduate Early) provides eligible students the opportunity to earn 60 college credits concurrently while attending high school.
