Philosophy of Education

We believe that Union High School has the responsibility to assist each student to develop his/her intellectual, physical, and moral potential as fully as possible so that he may be a productive member of society and lead a personally satisfying life. We believe that education is a continuing lifelong process, encouraging curiosity and creativity, and that the results of the learning process may not be immediate or measurable but of enduring value.

Union boasts one of the best athletics departments in the nation. Union athletes excel on all levels, locally, statewide and nationally. In addition to competitive sports, Union also offers intramural games. The spirit department - which includes cheerleaders, pom squads and Highstepper teams - is also under the auspices of the athletics department.

Advanced Placement Classes

Union High School offers 24 Advanced Placement courses. Each AP course is modeled on a comparable introductory college course in the subject. Learn more about Union's AP program.

The Place For Music & Art

Union Public Schools has one of the truly outstanding fine arts programs in the nation. A talented and dedicated staff, strong parental and community support, as well as the support of the administration and school board, have provided our students with a wide variety of opportunities to explore and develop their talents.

Student Life

Offices for Student Life are housed in the High School, commonly called the Activities Office. Student Life oversees all activities at the High School, including assemblies, Leadership activities, student organizations and events at the High School. Visit the Student Life page.
