Early Dismissal Procedure
- Call or Talking Points Text your student’s attendance office at least one hour before you arrive for a pass to be issued for early classroom dismissal.
- Leave a detailed voice mail message, when necessary, with your name, the student’s full name, student’s I.D. number, and the time you need your student to be dismissed.
- Make advance dismissal and pick-up arrangements with your student; you do not need to enter the building.
- A physician-issued appointment notification is required for excused absence status.
Immediate Dismissals
- You must allow the attendance office a minimum of 30 minutes to dismiss your student from class.
No passes for early dismissal can be issued during passing periods, during lunch hour, during mandatory testing, during special assemblies, nor 30 minutes before final bell. No exceptions
Note: Passes are not required for dismissal during the lunch period or passing period. You may communicate directly with your students and notify the proper attendance office. The receptionist cannot call students out of class.
Late Arrivals
- Students arriving to school after the first bell will need to enter at the South Entrance near the Union Performing Arts center and gymnasium.
- Students arriving after a physician appointment will need to submit their physician appointment notice to the attendance office and be issued a pass to class. A physician-issued appointment notification is required for an absence to be marked excused.
- Students arriving later than 10 minutes to each class will be counted truant. A pass from the attendance office will be required for class admittance.
