Career Tech

Tulsa Technology Center (Tulsa Tech)

In partnership with Tulsa Technology Center, Union juniors and seniors have the opportunity to enroll in technical programs and courses as a part of their school day. Students who are accepted into one of Tulsa Tech’s many outstanding programs attend classes on one of the TTC campuses for half of their school day. Tuition is free for Union students, and transportation for these programs is provided to and from Union High School and Union Alternative School. See Bus Route information

Students can choose from a variety of exciting programs including health sciences, aerospace, pre-engineering, automotive, and information technology.  Through many of these programs, students earn industry certifications that allow them to become successful members of Tulsa’s workforce during and after high school.

Applying for Admission to Tulsa Tech

Students who are interested in enrolling at Tulsa Tech during their junior or senior year should apply before the application deadline in early February each year. While applications may be accepted after this date, program availability may be limited.

In order to apply, students must:

  1. Complete the online application at tulsatech.edu/apply.
  2. Answer the admission interest questions online using 3-5 complete sentences per question.
  3. Complete a program visit.
  4. Program visits are held every Thursday at 3:00 PM, or can be scheduled on Tulsa Tech’s website.
  5. Submit documentation of academic preparedness. This documentation can include ACT, PSAT or SAT scores. Student with no reading or math test scores have the option of testing at the Tulsa Tech Assessment Center.

Oklahoma’s Promise Requirements

Certain technology courses through Tulsa Tech are Oklahoma's Promise approved courses. Oklahoma's Promise students must have two years of the same foreign/non-English language OR two years of computer science/computer technology. Students should talk with their high school counselors to ensure that their courses meet the Oklahoma’s Promise requirements.

For Graduates and Adult Learners

Not only does Tulsa Tech provide free tuition to current high school students, but TTC also offers scholarships for students who have completed their GED or graduated from local public high schools. The Accelerating Independence Scholarship covers 100% of tuition for these students. Scholarships for Tulsa Tech are available here.
